Day 9

As day 9 came around a theme started to appear. The work I have been doing is becoming repetitive, but what I have noticed is that I am learning. I am learning the techniques that work best for a certain task I am doing, or the most efficient way to do something. This is important for me to be learning, because some aspects of my project are foreign to me and I have never done them. Each coat of primer is going on smoother and smoother these past 3 days.

For day 9 I was continuing the process of layering two coats of primer on piece of the chairs. Todays task was to begin priming the first frame for the chair, and to finish the prepping of the spot on the chair that needs to be welded.

Here are the chair frames before and after a day of priming.

And here is a picture of the crack that I needed to clean up the rust in order to weld it tomorrow.

For the second part of my day I took a trip to Belletetes to pick up the rest of the Mahogany I will need, and I also brought the chair frame to Proctor so that I can weld it tomorrow.

At the end of day 9, I had put in 3 hours of work.

This brings my total hours to 23.5

Completed:
1.  More priming.
2. Prep for welding
3. Made a trip to Belletetes.

Tomorrows tasks (weather permitting):
1. Machining Mahogany slats.
2. Welding the crack in the metal.

Comments
